Alaska is a place for dreamers and for Cliff Everts,
that dream was flying. Everts came to Alaska in 1943 and began his
aviation career with Alaska Star Airlines, the predecessor to Alaska
Airlines. Shortly afterwards he accepted a position with Wien Air, where
he spent 35 years and flew 30,000 hours before retiring in 1980.
Long before retiring, Cliff had continued to
pursue his aviation dream with the purchase of his first C-46 in 1960. In
the early days he leased his aircraft out under Alaska Rental and Sales.
After retiring from Wien he decided to take the helm himself and began
running the operation. While Alaska Rental and Sales became focused on
equipment rental and surplus sales, the other part of the business, Everts Air Fuel
focused on Cliff’s true passion-flying the endless skies of the Last
Frontier.
The focus of Everts Air Fuel has been to provide the best possible service and the best price for all of our customers. From landing on a lake in the Brooks Range with a load of building materials for a lodge to picking up a herd of reindeer in Nome and flying them all the way to Colorado to moving over 1.5 million gallons of fuel into mine after a barge’s inability to make its last load in, Everts Air Fuel has stepped up to the plate to be there for the customer-no matter how unusual the request! With offices in Fairbanks and Kenai, Everts Air
Fuel currently concentrates in providing timely delivery of quality fuel
services throughout Alaska. The company’s air tankers are equipped to
carry 2000 to 5000 gallons of fuel. Everts Air Fuel is the epitome of the Alaskan dream, and its commitment to the customer and Alaska remains strong. The perseverance of Cliff Everts has made the company what it is today |
